Hotel Austria was born from a simple idea: bring the refined elegance of Viennese hospitality to the heart of Albania's resurgent capital. Founded in 1998 by the Schuster family — Austrian hoteliers with a deep love for the Balkans — our hotel was among the first luxury establishments in post-communist Tirana.
What began as a 12-room guesthouse has grown into a 48-room landmark, yet the founding philosophy remains unchanged: every guest is a friend, every stay is a memory, and every detail matters. Our walls are lined with Austrian crystal chandeliers, our kitchens simmer with Albanian seasonal produce, and our staff greet you with the warmth of the Mediterranean and the precision of the Alps.
